The null modem cable you need is a PC to Mac cable, which you should be able
to buy. Here is a diagram:

I use Agate, which is an old shareware com program available in the
archives. It has Zmodem, though you have to tell it to receive.  It works
OK. I use it at 9600 bps, above that I had problems.
