     If your IIgs still has the original ROM (called "ROM-00" now), you might
consider leaving it pretty much as-is and looking for a ROM-01 or ROM 3 IIgs to
upgrade and use for modern GS stuff. 

     For one thing, a ROM-00 machine will run some software which later
machines either will not run at all or do not run correctly. For another, a Woz
GS with the original ROM could be worth significantly more on the collector
market.
