Well, this may not help you, and I don't think it works on a IIgs, but
I wrote a simple little screen shot program that you can run on your
Apple II.
It can capture HGR or DHGR page 1 or 2, and save them to disk. DHGR
is saved in DazzleDraw format (aux mem page first, then main mem
page).
The caveats are: 1) usually you get a bit of shmutz across your main
mem page, and must edit the graphic when you're done, I use DazzleDraw
or 8/16 paint for that. and 2) you end up rebooted into DOS 3.3 where
you save your file.
