Re: DSDD vs DSHD disks (how to tell the difference)
One way is that most later 360K disks had ring hubs while the 1.2M
disks did not (Peter Norton of Symantec & Norton Utilities fame
pointed this out in one of his books). of course if your disks are
much older, it'd be much harder to tell the difference. If it doesn't
say on the lable, try formatting one in high density. The most you'll
lose if it doesn't work is one disk (some low dens drives don't like a
disk if it has been attempted to be formatted in high dens).
