Wayne,You were right - it was a piece of cake! I used a drive mechanism from an older Mac IIcx, and it works fine. The one exception I've found is that neither the eject button nor software eject work. So far, I'm doing fine with a straightened out paperclip, but that will get old at some point.
Any tips? Steve
