You can't use the Apple HD20 hard drive with any Apple II. You can use Apple or third party hard drives with a number of different SCSI and ide cards. Or you can get an ide hard drive on a card called the Focus drive from Alltech http://www.allelec.com/indexa2.html Rich Dreyer sells the CFFA card which can be used with ide drives or a Compact Flash http://dreher.net/CFforAppleII/

Any external Apple 3.5" drive will work with a IIe with the right interface card. Shreve systems may still have some SuperDrive cards which work with the Apple 1.44mb drives or the 800k model A9M0106.
