You have to partition the drive with at least one ProDOS partition
as the first one and the HFS partitions come later.
Once this happens, install GS/OS System 6 with the HFS FST
option (utilizing the Advanced installation rather than the Easy
Install option). Upon rebooting to your newly installed System 6
desktop, Finder will complain about unformatted partitions.
Simply format the 32MB ones ProDOS and the >32MB ones as
HFS. Once you install System 6 with the HFS FST option,
your IIGS will give you the option of formatting HFS on any
drive. You can even format and use HFS floppies which is
quite useful for communicating with Macs as you can be sure
that any IIGS software that recognizes HFS will work fine with
forked files.
