TWGS GAL combos?

I was just wondering if it's safe to mix and match GAL chips from a
few TWGS's

I wanted to try to get an all REV. A onto a board for max
accelleration purposes.

That being said, I want to make sure that my other TWGS's will work OK
if I put different mix of revisions in them.

The other question I have is how well are the GAL chips copy
protected? I've been talking to a friend who tells me that he has
access to some equipment that can decode copy protection on some chips
enough to copy the data?

Will this work on GAL chips? Is it safe to try? I'm willing to give it
a shot if it's safe.

And looking down the road, if I can have the data extracted, who do I
contact to see if it can be released as freeware? I understand that
the TWGS firmware was reclassifed as freeware, but I have no idea as
to whom the permission was given from.
