I apologize in advance if this is a naive question.
Are there any special requirements for connecting an AppleColor RGB
monitor (A2M6014) to a Macintosh i.e. Powerbook 180c?
A standard Macintosh monitor cable does not seem to work. I tried it on
various Macs with no success. Macs won't recognize that the monitor is
present.
I tried a PC VGA cable with a Mac converter (set to 12" display) with
more success but I get a very jittery quadrupled image. I able to
stabilize it somewhat with the horizontal and vertical adjustment
buttons but cannot get rid of the quadrupling.
I am reasonably sure that the monitor is ok and that the problem is lack
of compatibility between Macs and the 50-60hz monitor.
If anyone knows of a cabling or software solution I would very much
appreciate hearing from you
Thanks
