I don't think your asking the right person on Applesoft BASIC. If you ask
Bill then he would be treading on Apple's behalf. Reason for why Bill Gates
can't simply release the source of Applesoft is aggreements with Apple. Then
again, its not his decision to make. Microsoft would not release anything
that may affect their company's sales. Bill may or may not be overly
possesive and the decision is not always entirely 100% under his dictation.
Remember it is a corporation not exactly a "real" empire. He has clout but
his executives do have decision making abilities. For one, he isn't CEO.
Only Chairman/President. CEO is Steve Ballmer. Bill is indeed the head of
the Software development department. So it may be something good. Is Windows
actually getting better ????? Never know but maybe in the months ahead, I
may talk with him.

Bill Gates may not be "satan" but maybe an aggressive bussinessman and
perhaps in areas can be unethical. Though all his actions are borderline
because the law system could not entirely attack it. Microsoft has been
aggressive with competitors but not entirely "evil". He isn't Hitler, he
hasn't persecuted a race because they don't have the right skin color. The
only way to fight Microsoft is to have a better product and sufficient
advertisement. One needs not be a Billion dollar company but ones company
should not be bent on destroying Microsoft but simply out do Microsoft.

Make a better free version then Microsoft best commercial version (they sell
there best commercial version free, then you give your free version for
free, have a even better version for low price of $9.99 and an even more
advance version for $29.99 and one version for $59.99. Being that much ahead
would hurt Microsoft because you would be able to continue giving away a
better product then Microsofts best and have a inexpensiveand more powerful
version for a low price. Hint: Thats staying on top better. Just keep doing
that and Microsoft would loss out eventually. When they loose to much for
their confort. That's not a whole lot.
