Thanks to everybody who pitched in and enlightened me on this thread (and regarding how to identify the various models...might be some good stuff for the FAQ). Long and short is that it appears I'm screwed, although my electronics-savvy friend admits that he's intrigued by the idea of an adapter. <g>
