If it's got a 1986 date on it, then you're right except that it's the 
earlier full sized Universal Disk Controller(UDC) card. 36 chips plus 
assorted resistors and diodes. It had two 20 pin connectors and
originally 
came with two 19 pin to 20 pin adapters. One of the nice things about 
it was if you wanted you could hook up one 5.25" and one 3.5" drive to
the 
card and save a slot. Handy for people who have every slot full and have
to 
swap cards all the time.
