Just last month, someone in the local newsgroup was asking about 3.5"
DSDD disks, and a number of us suggested Bureau en Gros (is it called
Office Depot in the rest of the country?). I happened to be in
one store shortly after, and confirmed that at least that store,
in downtown Montreal, still sold them. Of course, the high density
disks work out cheaper.

I haven't seen 5.25" in stores for years, but I haven't needed them
so haven't been paying full attention. I suspect one of the office
or computer chains might still be able to get them for you, if
you special ordered.

A few years back, a local electronic surplus store had plenty of
5.25" DSDD disks, in ten packs (along with 8" and some 3", yes
3" which had a metal hub but a non-solid cover), but I haven't
been back in recent years to check, though I keep intending to
visit for other items. The place has a website at
http://www.addison-electronique.com I've never done mail-order
from them, even if they still have some, and I've seen a comment
that the minimum order is exhorbitant.

You might try posting in your local buy and sell newsgroup, to
see if anyone has any used disks sitting around. I know I've
picked up quite a few 3.5" that way (including buying some
shareware disks that were once so common, that were being cleared
out for 25 cents each), hence my lack of need for new stock.
