Have you considered carrying a small scale to weigh them?  ;-)

I used to have this problem until I found a way to quantum fold
all the empty space out of the atoms, creating a substantial
reduction in volume.  The only problem is that when they
imploded, they fell into the carpet, and I can't locate them...  ;-)
