Re: DOS 3.3 Image Does Not Work on XGS

Thank you again. I did all the procedure that you have done. I don't
use PC Transporter while I own it. It works perfect. Only one problem is
that Mug 1.0.1 fails to transfer binary from ProDOS to MS-DOS, but ASCII
worked. You may notice that red process bar is complete while it waits for
the mouse's icon to change from clock to array, but it responded nothing. I
tried to click 'Cancel', but nothing happened. Very strange.
I will try to use binary using Peter Watson's original software using
GMCOPY to see if my PC can be able to read binary file using FishWings.
I know that FishWings is good program, but minor problem causes the
FREE/USED blocks to display incorrect in Copy II Plus v9.1. I believe that
FishWings might mess up with the length, but it did a very good job to
import file with no problem. I copied files from ProDOS 32MB to another
ProDOS 32MB with no problem before I reformatted ProDOS 32MB to clear the
messy FREE/USED blocks. Then I copied files from another ProDOS 32MB back
to the original ProDOS 32MB.
I am glad that it worked. I should not use NuLib because it could mess
up with shrink/unshrink. Same example, ShrinkIt v3.4 from REAL Apple II can
unshrink file back to the original 5.25 floppy diskette successfuly, but it
will fail booting in S6D1 after NuLib messed up! I suspect that NuLib needs
to fix the aux type and length before it will work.
Why do people prefer to use NuLib if they use Unix? I am curious.

I wish to modify Copy II Plus v9.1 that will become version v9.2 by
adding a support to MFM floppy drive. It will add MS-DOS feature so Copy II
Plus v9.2 can be able to manage to format, copy, etc to ProDOS, DOS 3.3,
plus MS-DOS! It will save more time using third-party software for Windows
that will not be used under Emulator. What about Copyright that Central
Point has?
Please state your opinion what you think about my idea to do with Copy
II Plus v9.2. It will be 3.5" 1.44MB BitCopy that will work for all MFM
only, but IWM will be useless. 5.25" BitCopy, 3.5" BitCopy, AND 3.5" 1.44MB
BitCopy will be shown under Copy selection. What do you think?
