As an electronic tech, I disagree. The Laser 128 looks like a made-in-Hong
Kong consumer item, from the days before surface mount and large scale
integration.
The "don't know how to fix" part is partially true. Someone who is familiar
with the IIc would have to start over to work on a Laser 128. Schematics
would have to be found, or a sharp tech might be able to puzzle out that
particular problem. That all takes time and effort, and skill. That costs
money. How much is the customer willing to pay? Will the tech ever work on a
Laser 128 again? It's probably not going to pay to learn the innards of one
odd-ball computer.
So you should make that "don't know how to fix, not worth learning how to
fix."
