I recently got (for free!) a bunch of cards... one of them said "Apple 3.5
Disk Controller Card."
Hmmm... I don't remember which card this is, I said to myself. Quick
google... oh yeah!!!! THE SuperDrive card!
Damn! No superdrive...
Wait, I've got a floppy drive from a Quadra... nope, won't work. Wait, got
one from a IIcx. Swap it with my spare 800K 3.5 drive mechanism.
Try to format 1.44MB disk... no go... bad drive.
Then I remember! I've got an old SE/30 in the closet. Dig it out. Take it
apart and get the floppy drive. Install it into 3.5 drive. Hook it up.
Put in a HD floppy, plug it into the IIgs. Woohoo! It works!
Sorry, just had to tell!
