I didn't realize you were using that RAM card. There's the problem then.
The AE GS RAM card isn't compatible with the ROM 3. If you check in the
RAM Disk control panel you'll find it shows the wrong amount of RAM.
In the RAM Disk control panel if you add up the RAM Disk(if you're using
one), RAM in use and the free RAM then a ROM 3 with no RAM card will a
total
of 1151K free without a RAM card. With a 1.5mb RAM card your total RAM
should
be 2687 but with the AE GS RAM it shows a total of 3199K. 512K more than you
have. The card will work right up until a time when your IIgs tries to
access
that non existent RAM.
There were some AE cards that would work in a ROM 1 or 3 and there were
some
that you had to change PALs. Unfortunately they never made ROM 3 PALs
for your
card.
