Multiple languages could be used on the Apple even without the
Language Card (or an equivalent RAM card): just boot Apple CP/M and
then choose among all the languages available for CP/M.  And even
for plain Apple DOS there were alternative languages available,
such a sveral flavors of e.g Forth and LISP.
