Perhaps you are missing an extension. The software for the IIe card (you
should get one for that LCIII!) includes a ProDos extension on one of the
disks. That should work. That will also allow you to work with 5.25"
floppies, and you can also make a ProDos partition on your hard disk, or
just connect an external drive and make that ProDos. That's a good way to
archive your IIgs software, too.
