A color Deskwriter would be along the lines of what I had in mind.

I saw a manual for a Deskwriter that suggested it could be connected with
AppleTalk. That would be convenient for using with a Mac and a GS. But I
would have to find the printer first and then I don't know how easy it
would be to find AppleTalk connectors. A local store specializing in used
stuff had one for $10.
