I saw one not long ago on the web (but don't remember where), it was a
//e inside a plexi case, but the case was made from sheet plexi
trather than moulded. I think it was more like an A/// in shape...
cool though.
I think a lot of high school shop classes have facilities for working
plexi, so that may be an economical place to look for tools and
talent.

PS. If anyone has done any cool case mods on A2's, let me know as I'm
planning a website that will (hopefully) feature some custom Apple ][
stuff.
