Of this I am pretty sure. If they thought micro-computers were going to 
stick around they wouldn't have licensed DOS from Microsoft.  I think 
the toy/game would be more appropriate for the PCjr but IBM sure didn't 
build the original like they knew something. They built it like "let's 
get our share of the pie before the well dries up". IBM's reputation 
carried weight back then in a way that even Microsoft is just starting 
to equal.
