It's June 2002, how I've fed my Apple II so far this month.

Hi,

With all the talk about the Apple II only being used by hobbiests, I thought
I'd post how I'm using it so far this month. Today, I modified Number
Munchers for different students, some for multiplication, one for addition and
subtraction. Most teachers don't use the Teacher Options to modify the MECC
programs, but that's what makes them so powerful: the ability to grow with the
students' needs.

One, after considering macintosh's AppleWorks, I've gone back to AW3 to create
a database that will create monthly synopsis of my students goals, sorting by
those on track at our year-round school, their daily time block, and those
current during a four-month window. Since math and language arts are usually
taught separately, it was easy to just create two separate databases, rather
than need a fourth Boolean operator.

Two, when a teacher found out that a simple peg board game was popular with
her students that finished early or wanted to stay inside the classroom in this
heat, she jumped at the offer to provide the same program for the Apple II. I
even used SoftPaint and PublishIt! to create the disk labels!

Three, I worked on my next game for my Tutor-Tech game series. This is an
update of the Tic-Tac-Toe game I released in January. This version will be a
single-player game.

Apple ][: Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.
