I was going to try a few things with some Mac 400k drives connected to
an Apple II UDC card. To my surprise none of the 4 drives I had
squirreled
away worked. Problem was the grease had become thick enough that all the
moving parts were literally stock together. I managed to get things
moving
with some Q-tips and lacquer thinner but there must be a better way. Had
the same problem with a 3.5" UniDisk last year. So what's the best way
to
clean the old grease out of a 3.5" drive?
