Yes I know, its a PC, but it works ;)
And thanks for the kind words Tarage. I need to write up a new chapter in my
continuing saga, but, since the Snappy died I have yet to get a good pic out of
my Computer Eyes system, and these days you need Pictures to make it sing.
Recent additions though include a new(?) 8500 with a Sonnet G3 card and a lot
of adaptations running OS X (still trying to get a valid signin here from a
GS), a 578 with a IIe card, which makes for a very nice large-screened IIe; My
Quadra 950 is now the Localtalk Bridge (running Appleshare 3.0.3 so the (real,
and btw accelerated) 2 IIe's can signin via a server boot). Other changes are:
I finally got DSL so now the whole net is no longer "online" via a 56k modem.
The Apple /// which was connected via a IIci running BSD (this is a real way
cool thing to do btw) is now on a shelf. Too much bench room that one takes
up, and the power bill notices too!
Such incidental boxes as the SX=64 Commodore are on the shelf too, as are the
Osborne and Kaypro I briefly had hooked in..
Current projects envolve a Gatorbox, a recently salvaged Token-ring hub, A 386
sporting an original Appletalk ISA card (and ocassionally a TOPS card), some
experiments with the old MacIPX protocol...passing data via a 3270 IBM
mainframe controller and some Nubus terminal cards running an adaptation of old
SNA (It worked but man it was slow...).
My experiments are mainly driven by whatever hardware comes to hand...
Now where did I leave that Mister Fusion module?
