David should you have or ever get a IIGS make sure that the 'capacitor removal
modification' has been done to your Duodisk. I can dig out the necessary file
on how to do the change from my old hard disk but am hoping that someone reads
this has it ready to hand. The modification has no effect on the Duodisk when
used with the IIe so you can do it now without any qualms. I can't remember the
reason Apple told people to remove the caps - it had something to do with the
Smartport on the IIGS. Perhaps someone else can enlighten you - David Empson
might.
