Hah. That's pretty funny. Not true, but funny. Gary may have a no-prisoners
approach, but I never would have called him a "nasty little" anything. I
always found him a lot easier to work with than a lot of people and a heck
of a lot more grown-up than the average.
I never quite knew what to think about Tom. My preconceptions of him were
severely poisoned by the attitudes and experiences of several of my fellow
GEnie sysops. Then when I finally had dealings with him, I was quite
surprised and quite pleased to find him a polite and considerate
correspondent. Maybe he changed. I came to suspect that Tom had indeed
changed but too many were unable to bring themselves to forgive him for past
trespasses. Certainly Tom showed far more decorum than quite a few other
posters here in the years I have been following this group.
Alas. It's not like out community is too large, or anything.
