You can find several neat Apple II Text adventures on the Ground archive
at ftp://ground.ecn.uiowa.edu/apple2/apple8/Games/ .

The TextAdventures1 disk has nine adventures:

ADVENTURE CAVES
SWORDS & SORCERY
PIRATE'S TREASURE HUNT
NEPTUNE'S CAVERNS
MARS
INSPECTOR CLOUSEAU
ADVENTURE WITHIN THE EARTH
JEWEL QUEST V2
LOST DUTCHMAN V211

TextAdventures1 is available as an .sdk ShrinkIt disk archive and as a
standard .dsk disk image. The files are named

File: TextAdventures1_sdk.zip
File: TextAdventures1_dsk.zip

After downloading a file, unzip the file using WinZIP or an equivalent
utility.

TextAdventures1_sdk.zip unzips to TEXTADV1.SDK, a ShrinkIt
compressed disk archive. On your Apple II, Use ShrinkIt v3.4 to
unshrink TEXTADV1.SDK to a 5.25" diskette.

TextAdventures1_dsk.zip unzips to TEXTADV1.DSK, a standard disk
image which may be used as a virtual disk with Apple II emulators
such as AppleWin. (On a real Apple II, the image may be converted
to diskette via DSK2FILE or ASIMOV.)

For info on using/converting most kinds of files used for Apple II
software on the net, see http://home.swbell.net/rubywand/Csa2FLUTILS.html .

You can find several Text adventures in GS WorldView's archive. The URL
for games is http://www.apple2.org.za/gswv/a2zine/Games/ .

Some games you can find there are ...

Cranston Manor in file CranstonManor.zip
Cyborg in file Cyborg.zip
Dragons Eye in file DragonsEye.zip .

For info about piles of Infocom and other Text adventures you can run on a
IIgs, see http://www.apple2.org.za/gswv/a2zine/Sel/InfocomTypeGames.htm .

A good place to find many games is Asimov. The URL for most of the games
on Asimov is ftp://ftp.apple.asimov.net/pub/apple_II/images/games/ .

The file-based folder has disks with several games on each.

The software on Asimov is usually on .dsk disk image files which are
g-zipped to conserve space. For info about using these files see
