Hello, I was thinking about the IIGS and superdrives, and I realized, a
Powerbook drive is thin enough to fit inside a IIGS if the fower supply
casing is modified and one capacitor is relocated inside, sort of a "Mark
Twain" type mod. Has anyone else attempted/researched doing this? The floppy
drive has a low-profile connector, but the connector could be de-soldered
and hard-wired to a DB-19 port, and then attatched to the end of the
daisy-chain, maybe even hardwired to the disk port from the IWM chip
(Doesn't that stand for something? I think the W stands for Woz, he did
design the Disk II controller and drive.). Also, if anyone has pinouts for
the slots, especially the memory expansion slot, please post a copy. I am
working on a hack for the 1MB memory card to turn it into a 4 or maybe 8 MB
card, It's just a matter of figuring out the address lines and replacing
some of the chips.
