Polly has sent the following message:
We will look at two word processor programs recently made freeware,
BeagleWrite and BeagleWriteGS. You may have known them as MultiScribe
and MultiScribeGS. Although the programs will be demonstrated on an
Apple IIgs, for those of you who have a IIe or IIc, this is a good
chance to see a program which can run on your computer of choice, and
for anyone to get a free program. Like Publish It, MultiScribe has the
capability for importing graphics and adding fonts. If there is time,
we can take another look at another classic computer that is a good
companion to the Apple II, the Tandy 102. We can look at an add-on ROM
for this Tandy portable. Polly
Please feel free to ask any questions you wish about the Apple II or
vintage Mac. Big Apple Users Group is a computer club for users of
Apple II and vintage Macs.
We will meet at 6:30 pm on Monday, March 25 at 345 West 58th St., Apt
5L, in Manhattan, between 8th and 9th Avenues, just west of Columbus
Circle. The A, B, C, D, and 1 and 9 trains all stop at Columbus Circle
(at 59th St.).
