AE did a card kind of like that.

I think Apple still has some tech notes on their site that can help.
IF not, I'll check the tech notes that our club has - assuming someone doesn't post the info before I find it.

I've got this wild idea about designing a board with a 65c816 on it, 8MB of memory, accessed in 00/0000-ffff like a normal 6502-based IIc, but also the extra 8 MB accessable from 01/0000-81/ffff from the 65c816 in native mode... this board would plug into both the memory expansion connector and into the CPU socket.

Shouldn't be too hard if I can just get the specs on the IIc memory expansion connector.
