The *x equivalent would probably be thus:
#!/bin/sh cat serial.bin ad35driver.bin smartport.bin diag.bin \
monitor.bin > FF0000.bin cat C1xx.bin C2xx.bin > FFC100.bin cat C5xx.bin
C7xx.bin > FFC500.bin
sound about right?
-uso.
That will work too but the function I'm missing is the ability to place
FFC100.bin INSIDE of FF0000.bin at offset $C100, FFC500.bin inside at
offset $C500 and applesoft.bin inside at offset $D000. It is the equivalent
of pasting the files over the existing sections in FF0000.bin. File
FF0000.bin is 64k length with zeroes filled in where those files go. I'm
not sure why Apple did this bank that way but there must have been a
reason. The other banks were all linked into segments.
