I had quite a time with Skyfox until I put the card in slot 4 or slot 5 (can't remember which).  When in doubt, pull all cards except the Disk ][ and the MB to test.   Since the mockingboard has no ROM firmware, it's tricky to detect correctly also.  Therefore the variety of games that supported it all used different ways to find it, or required the user to state it was there (as Ultima 5 does)
