I plan on doing a video about this upgrade but haven't been able to
get a number (even ballpark) on how many IIGS upgrades were made
(official upgrades by Apple dealers with baseboard, logos, and serial
number). Also, kind of a follow up: how to I decipher the serial
numbers of these units. Here's some examples:

E9261LLA2S6001
E7090NEA286001
E829TXRA2S6001
E7970A9A2S6001

Thanks.

I believe all of the upgrade kits came with ROM 0 boards, which means
that they will have a serial number lower than E704... And the
A2S6001 at the end is obviously the model number. Not sure how
helpful that information is...

i have 3 of these units...gs/iie upgrades..and yeah they came with rev 0 boards or whatever but you had the option to upgrade them by sending orig board in ..so all 3 are upgraded to rom 01 on my setups prob others are too..but prob best to check if you get one
