I gotta say that the CFFA 3000 has transformed my Apple II life. I have one for my IIe and one for my IIgs. There's no other HD card in existence, including the previous CFFA's, that can compare. It emulates a Disk II. It uses USB sticks, which I can easily plug and unplug externally via a USB extension cable. Because it uses image files, you can go back and forth between an Apple II and an emulator in a second, and back up your work on any other platform (which would help the OP). It converts disks to image files. It mounts whole piles of image files at once.

It's freaking phenomenal. If you're considering it even slightly, take the opportunity to get it during this next run while you can. I'd say the same to any other Apple II enthusiast. If you regret your purchase, you'll probably make a profit on eBay once they're unavailable again.

In my personal pantheon of epic Apple II accessories, it's the Apple-Cat II, The Mach II joystick, and the CFFA 3000. It's that awesome.
