It can still be OCR'd once the pictures are transfered to the computer.
The book doesn't even have to be opened all the way. A 90 degree angle
is sufficient.
You can even take the picture parallel to the book, and rotate the
picture 90 degrees on the computer. The text and pictures still comes
out perfect.

Huh. That's actually really clever and I have never thought of that.
Any particular software you are using to take the JPGs and convert to
OCR?
