I think the problem is with Internet Explorer.

Years ago when the site was revamped I had lots of complaints that the 
disk images people were downloading weren't working. Turned out they 
were all using IE.

I'm not sure why this is happening (and being a Mac user, it's not the 
sort of thing I particularly want to test for) but I'm guessing IE does 
some sort of auto handling with the .zip file and the resulting 2image 
file is somehow not unarchived the way it should be.

Try Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera. Hopefully your mother will thank 
you for giving her a better browser, as well as fixing your IIGS 
emulation needs ;-)
