Okay, looking at pinouts and I see a potential problem.
The Apple IIgs is analog output.
It doesn't have a horizontal sync listed. https://support.apple.com/kb/TA36688?viewlocale=en_US
According to this: http://www.gamesx.com/avpinouts/sc1435.htm
The monitor wants both Horizontal & Vertical sync.
And since I have commodore monitors, they take a composite sync in analog mode (want both for Digital Mode).
I would think that the SC was a digital monitor, but it doesn't have the Intensity pin.
According to this: http://nfggames.com/forum2/index.php?topic=583.0
I will need to separate the sync with a LM1881 chip.
So, to make this cable, I appear to have to do something I haven't done before and have no way to test it. Adding a chip to the cable isn't a big deal, but not being able to test it is.
Wonder if someone in my local old computer club has an Atari monitor...
