Cool, that is nice.

But I'd still prefer a NIB, even slightly normalized if necessary. It's nice to be able to explore an original (via emulation) as close as possible to how the author produced it.

Double-sized NIBs supporting half tracks would cover most software. And in fact at least AppleWin can (or used to be able to) support half tracks on normal NIBs. It would just read track 7 instead of 7.5 IIRC. ; - )
