Ya, sweet old crt. You would probably have to make your own cable, or get someone to make one for you. No need for component mode. You might be able to find a 9 pin DB connector to BNC cable, though most I have ever seen in places are the 15pin DB connector BNC cables. If you did find one of the 9 pin DB BNC cables, at worse you'd have to make an adaptor for it, nothing hard to do.
Unless I'm mistaken, you can just use the digital RGB to connect to your Apple 2's. No need to go the analog route, I don't think it would improve the picture any.
