Hi,
I had seen a ISA->A2 Adapter being used for a MFM-HD Interface. This Interface was based on the OMTI 5520 Chipset. You can get some Info on the ISA->A2 Adapter at (only in german)

The Conversion itself was implemented with 2 or 3 TTL ICs and the ROM for the Softpatch.
