In the interim, I found the JEDEC file for a PAL16L8 on the Reactive web site. 
I actually had no idea the site was still up!

If you have a Rev. A would appreciate confirmation that this part is a 16L8.

I do have a logic programmer, although it's a nasty, fussy thing to operate.
