After reading this, I no longer believe the alias of Michael Hardy is just one person. Doing a search for Hardy Creations Inc, has hundreds of websites, many paypal accounts and other money receiving accounts.

And the fact that no-one has yet found him, means he is somehow hiding behind a major company. Just like that huge website called MEGAUPLOAD, that was finally closed down by the FBI.

I think, technically speaking, he is not doing anything illegal, since he is just reselling software that has either been designated abandonware, or has been officially released as free-ware. Or he can claim that he is not selling the actual software, but the services to make that software more available.

Like putting shareware on a cd. You can charge for the cd, but you are not getting paid for the shareware software on the cd.

So unless, he does not dabble in any questionable antics, like MEGAUPLOAD did which came to their downfall, the only thing one can do is, ignore him. Do not respond to him, do not give him answers, or your source code, or help him in any way.

Also, it would not hurt to put a Utube video stating only the facts, to get to a wider audience. Although, from another stand point, any negative remarks only gives him more advertising and acknowledgement and gives him a wider audience.

I think ignoring him is the best avenue. The less people know about him, the fewer people will get taken advantage of by him. At least, in theory, I hope that's how it works. Since the FBI would not even take action unless too many people get hurt.

And the people who are giving him money, believe they are paying this business for a service. So the only people getting hurt are the original software owners.
