Oh yes, I anderstand now. Hopefully the spvhd will support also 5.25 emulation, and this feature will be compatible with the rom 255.
There is also the good old SVD project (http://www.thesvd.com), compatible with a lot of vintage computers, including the Apple II.
That's very great, I think some people, including me, should be interested in such a possibility. Are you inclined to share this work ?find a way to replace roms with new roms that are programmable via low voltage serial so I dont have to worry about UV and other voodo on chips that may not be the easiest thing to find (hehe)
