Apple IIc+ Spacebar Repair

All,

I have a IIc+ that needs some help.  I had thought that I had a broken
spacebar key, but as was pointed out to me, at KFest, what is actually
broken is the little plastic hook, on the keyboard base, that retains the
metal spacebar attachment wire.

I have _no_ idea how to fix that.  I have been looking, unsuccessfully, for
another dead IIc+, or chassis, as that was my only other idea of how to fix
this machine, since the keyboard base does not seem to be able to be
separated from the rest of the case.

Does anyone have a different idea?
