Sam

Does anyone recommend a certain Eprom Programmer? Of course one that is
cost effective (doesn't break the bank) and is multi-functional?

If you have good technical grounding and a sense of adventure, there are various Willem programmer clones available cheap on eBay. If you want a flexible unit with solid vendor support, I cannot say enough good things about the Andromeda programmer:

www.arlabs.com

They supply _complete_ technical information on the base unit and all adapter modules. Most of the adapters are available as bare boards if you want to build your own. I rolled my own module in order to read and write A2 disk controller PROMs.

Unlike some of the Willem units, it will not write PICs or other programmable MPUs.
