Eprom Programmer for Apple II?
I recently purchased a Top853 from eBay which is a cheap (I got mine for around AU$35) Chinese piece of kit that runs over USB. My limited testing so far has been positive. The good thing about this device as opposed to a Willem style programmer is that it supports GALs which the Willem units do not AFAIK.
The only negative is that the device drivers only work in 32 bit Windows - 64 bit drivers are not available.
It has a very long list of supported chips. However, EPROMs may require external power - which I assume to mean a powered USB hub.
I bought mine to convert an 8K Transwarp cache board into a 32 bit one - or to at least burn the EPROM + GALs for it.
I'll post back any success or failures I have with the unit when I get around to using it in anger.
Cheers,
Mike
