It makes some sense.
The composite output of the VOC is a genlocked-to-external-source pretty
standard NTSC color signal. I don't know what its maximum luminance
bandwidth is, but it wouldn't surprise me if it's under 4MHz--that is, not
very hi res, and certainly not 80-column capable.
Give it a try and let us know. ;-)
