For those interested in a SSC based interface to external storage (and time

DriveWire was originally developed for the Tandy CoCo, but is well documented
and extensible. Aaron Wolfe develops and maintains a Java-based server that
will run on a multitude of platforms.
I've wanted to see an Apple DW client for quite a while.

Have you read this thread:

https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en&fromgroups=#!topic/comp.sys.apple2/TDUNTinOgTI[1-25]

David Schmidt has added the ability to serve a 32MB .po image from the PC/Mac to the Apple II via ADTPro, using either an SSC in an Apple IIe, or the built in hardware on a IIc or GS.

it seems much more mature and feature rich than what we have, on the other hand we dont have drive wire, and while the grass is always greener, at least we have grass now heh

Exactly so. I'll be interested to try it too, assuming I don't have to burn an eprom. (I'll need Steve's help for that. ;-)
